
About Coach Tyler Scheerhoorn
Who is Coach Tyler Scheerhoorn?
His volleyball journey began in Grade 5 playing in elementary school. Then when he was 13 he decided he wanted to become a professional volleyball athlete when he grew up. He started to coach volleyball at age 16. After he played at Queen’s University for 5 years, he went overseas to achieve his dream. Playing overseas he gained valuable experience and chose to retire in 2019 after winning a national championship. He has continued coaching and has coached hundreds of athletes. Whether it be youth, provincial team, or university athletes, he loves to coach and inspire them all. His desire to inspire fuels his coaching passion. He is currently a full time Head Coach at the Academy Volleyball Club in Redwood City, California.
